SCENT WITH LOVE
Scent with Love collects floral centerpieces from weddings and events and donates them to places in need around the Pittsburgh area. Rather than wasting these gorgeous florals, Scent with Love helps to spread their beauty and cheer!
HISTORY
While attending a friend's wedding in early 2018, Shannon Haldeman recognized that beautiful centerpieces and other arrangements are often thrown away immediately after events. She founded Scent with Love, a volunteer-based, 501c3 non-profit organization based in Pittsburgh that collects the arrangements and delivers them to locations around Pittsburgh in order to brighten someone's day. Some of the flower recipients include the Ronald McDonald House, The Children's Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center, Bethlehem Haven Women's Shelter, Family House Pittsburgh, and Hillman Cancer Center. Scent with Love also delivers to nursing homes, shelters and various nonprofits/charities all over the region. In 2022, Scent with Love became a Burgh Brides approved vendor and achieved 501c3 status.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Scent with Love sees the importance of brightening someone's day during an illness, injury, or tough time. It gives us such great honor and joy to be able to bring even the smallest smile to those who need it the most.
If you or someone you know has floral centerpieces that can be donated, our volunteers will promptly pick up the arrangements after the event has ended and deliver them to an organization in need. Learn more about how we do this here!
We are always looking for flowers to be picked up, volunteers to help spread the cheer, and organizations that would like to receive arrangements. Come bloom with us!
